They see more than 1,500 patients each year and provide consultation for hundreds of others through the UPMC Stroke Telemedicine Program.
UPMC's Stroke Telemedicine Program allows more patients located outside of Pittsburgh, Pa. to be treated faster and closer to home. The program uses state-of-the-art videoconferencing technology to link stroke experts to emergency department physicians throughout our network of hospitals.
