- Typically, between 14 and 75 years old.
- History
- History of multiple failed attempts with diet plans, behavioral changes, and medical therapy.
- Mindset
- Presence of realistic expectations and motivation.
- Ability to understand the procedure and its implications, and to accept the operative risks.
- Commitment to following the post-surgery diet, vitamin supplementation, exercise program, and follow-up necessary for health and weight maintenance.
