Holidays from the Heart

Holidays from the Heart graphicDue to the stigma of mental illness, the inpatient psychiatric population is often overlooked where holiday giving is concerned. The “Holidays from the Heart" campaign is determined to change that.

The 2020 holiday gift drive provided an array of presents for 80 child and adolescent inpatients. The campaign goal going forward is to do so for all 251 UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital inpatients, from children and adolescents through seniors.

The 2021 holiday gift presentation and performance featuring campaign chair Marianne Cornetti, internationally recognized opera performer and artistic director of the Pittsburgh Opera Festival, and a growing list of friends and supporters, will take place on Friday, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m.
