The Lower Extremity Limb Salvage/Trauma Fellowship is designed to develop a high level of clinical competence in the surgical and nonsurgical management of a wide array of foot and ankle disorders.The fellow will be exposed to the University Foot and Ankle Division, University Orthopaedic Trauma Division, and the VA Health Care System Podiatry Division. The fellow will function as a junior attending physician. The fellow will be expected to supervise residents during surgery, acting as the attending once adequate experience is obtained.

Fellows are typically chosen from the UPMC Podiatry Residency Program.
