Here at St. Margaret's, we want to provide you with the necessary support and resources to help you transition from student to nursing professional.
Our Ambassador program at St. Margaret School of Nursing pairs an exceptional second year nursing student with a first year student.
The second year student ambassador offers tips for success and important information about St. Margaret's School of Nursing clinical sites.
This provides the first year nursing student with basic support and guidance as needed.

The goals of SNAP are to introduce St. Margaret School of Nursing students to a professional organization and promote leadership.
SNAP members:
In the final semester of the nursing program at UPMC St. Margaret, we pair students with professional nurses. The student will follow the nurse's schedule, and gradually increase responsibility for patient care.
This valuable mentor program gives St. Margaret student nurses time to grow in confidence and skill, while still having a well-trained nurse as a source of support.
